Norfund is an investment company with limited liability owned by the Norwegian Government. Its mission is to make risk capital investments in profitable private enterprises in low income countries, mostly in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Norfund can provide equity and debt financing to new business ventures, expansions, and management buy-ins and buy-outs.
Direct investments are made jointly with a project sponsor, primarily an experienced industrial partner, and often in collaboration with local partners. Norfund also invests in local investment funds, normally in conjunction with other institutional investors.
Swedfund International AB offers risk capital and know-how for investments in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe (non-EU members). Swedfundï’s mandate is to contribute to the development of viable businesses thereby stimulating sustainable economic development in its investment countries. It is a limited liability company owned 100% by the Swedish state.

With a broad spectrum of financial solutions, combined with knowledge and experience, Swedfund enables its partners to invest more successfully. Board

Elisabeth Jacobsen
Elisabeth Jacobsen has over 35 years of experience in international diplomacy and development. She has held various positions in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, incl. Director for Africa.
Jacobsen was Ambassador to Kenya, (2005-2010) and Tanzania (2018 - 2023). She has also worked for UNDP, Kenya and the Norwegian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
She has served on the Boards of Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala, Norwegian Research Council and UNDP/UNFPA Executive Board in New York.
Jacobsen holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from University of Bergen, Norway.

Fredrik Linton
Fredrik Linton serves as a director of Kinyeti Venture Capital.
He is the Chief Business Development and Special Operations Officer at Swedfund International AB.

Tim Lund
Tim I. B. Lund has worked more than 15 years in Norfund and has served on the Norfund Investment Committee.
He presently works as a Senior Specialist in the Industrial Partnerships department supporting project teams on environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.
Previous work experience includes consulting, working as an environmental expert in the African Development Bank and as a climate change and energy counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in South Africa.
Lund holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology.

Janet Maya Logo
Janet Maya Logo serves as a Director at Kinyeti Venture Capital. Janet has over 16 years’ experience in Strategic Communications, Interagency Coordination and Project Management in humanitarian and development sectors.
She has previously worked with various INGOs and the UN in different capacities over the years in South Sudan and Jordan.
Janet has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Makerere University, Uganda, and a Master’s Degree in International Development Administration from Andrews University, Michigan, US.
Investment Team

David Mithika
David Mithika is the CEO of Kinyeti Venture Capital and has over 15 years’ experience in risk capital financing.
Prior to joining Kinyeti Venture Capital he worked with a risk capital financier based in Nairobi for 5 years.
He holds a Master of Research in Business Administration from University of Liverpool; an MBA from University of Nairobi and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
He provides leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations and is responsible for the success of the company.

Felix Ndegwa
Felix Ndegwa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (Finance Option) and is a Certified Public Accountant with over 13 years of work experience in South Sudan.
He is responsible for the Finance, Administration, and reporting role at Kinyeti. Before joining Kinyeti Venture Capital he worked as a management accountant for a Microfinance Institution in South Sudan.

Parach Peter
Parach Peter holds a Bachelor‘s degree in accounting and finance and has over 7 years’ experience in the banking industry.
Prior to Joining Kinyeti Venture Capital, he worked as a credit officer for Co-operative bank.
He is responsible for deal generation, conducting due diligence on new deals, drafting investment papers and post investment follow up of the portfolio.

Ezekiel Aleer
Ezekiel Aleer graduated from Cavendish University Uganda with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
He has over seven years of experience working in the banking sector in South Sudan in the credit department.
His role includes deal sourcing, conducting project due diligence and project follow-up. Prior to joining Kinyeti, Ezekiel worked with a bank in South Sudan.

Nicholas Adol
Nicholas Adol holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with five years of work experience in South Sudan.
He is responsible for Portfolio Management which includes credit control, portfolio reporting and addressing portfolio ESG issues.
Before joining Kinyeti Venture Capital he worked with a bank in South Sudan.

Andrua Jacline
Andrua Jacline is an intern at Kinyeti Venture Capital.
Her role includes assisting in project due diligence, implementation, and portfolio monitoring.
Before joining Kinyeti Venture Capital, she worked as a personal banker for Co-operative Bank
